Applications are now available for the 2008 AHEAD Scholarship program for students with disabilities and members. Three types of scholarships are available for 2008.

1) The AHEAD Scholarships for Students with Disabilities. One award category is for undergraduate students, and one award category is for graduate students. Both award categories provide US $1,000.00 scholarships. Applicants must be sponsored by a member of the Association on Higher Education and Disability (AHEAD).

2) The AHEAD Scholarship for Advanced Academic Study for AHEAD Members. This category is specifically designed to be awarded to AHEAD members to support their advanced academic study in a field related to the mission of AHEAD or the work of AHEAD members. This award category provides US $1,000.00 scholarships.

3) The textHELP Scholarship for Students with disabilities. This scholarship is made possible through a generous contribution from AHEAD Partner Member, textHELP, Inc. Open to students with disabilities sponsored by an AHEAD member, this scholarship will provide US$ 500.00 and a copy of the new "Read & Write Gold" from textHELP, Inc.
