Exploring Instructional and Access Technologies

What: International Symposium. Goal - dissemination of information relative to current innovation and future developments in the use of instructional technology and education media to support the teaching/learning process. It will provide a forum for the presentation of current state-of-the-art practice and research for educators of the deaf and hard of hearing at levels ranging from pre-school through postsecondary, in both self-contained and inclusive settings. Teachers, educational researchers, media/technical specialists, and administrators in the field of instructional technology and deaf education are expected to attend this Symposium.

Summit to Create a Cyber-Community to Advance Deft and Hard-of-Hearing Individuals in STEM (DHH-Cyber Community)
What: Three-day Conference. 50 leaders in the field of support service provision for postsecondary deaf and hard-of-hearing students in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) from across the U.S. will attend this “Summit.” The primary outcome of this conference will be a report on the current state of online remote interpreting and captioning for deaf and hard-of-hearing students.
