2016 Career Link Mentoring Program

December 14, 2015

The USBLN is looking for college and university students and recent college graduates with disabilities, including military veterans with disabilities, who are really motivated and understand the value of building your career networks. STEM majors are in high demand. If accepted into this six-month program, they will be matched with a mentor who is an employee in a professional position with one of the USBLN corporate member companies. They will be matched by majors and career aspirations and general geographic location when possible. This is not just a casual match but an actual career preparation training program and will require a real commitment by the student.  This competitive program has a limited number of spots available. Online applications must be completed by January 29, 2016, at https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/2016CLMP_MenteApp.  Students who successfully complete the program will have the opportunity to apply to the Leadership Academy that will be held on September 18 – 19, 2016 in Orlando, Florida in conjunction with the USBLN Annual Conference. All travel expenses will be covered as well as their registration fees for the Leadership Academy and the USBLN Annual Conference (September 19 – 21, 2016). They will also have the opportunity to meet individually with representatives from USBLN member companies to discuss career opportunities. Specific questions about the program may be sent to Mylene Padolina at mylene@usbln.org.
