Please check out our 2014-2015 HEATH NYTC Winter newsletter!! We have a wonderful article entitled, "Stakeholder Perceptions of Student Self-Determination", written by Emily Traynor Lehman, M.Ed. The article presents on stakeholder (e.g., educator and parent) perceptions of student self-determination. Emily Lehman is a Doctoral Candidate at the Department of Special Education and Disability Studies at the Graduate School of Education and Human Development at the George Washington University. In addition to her research and program development activities related to secondary transition, Emily supports GW’s CITY program, and teaches an undergraduate service learning course and a master’s level transition course for GW’s Graduate School of Education and Human Development. Dr. Judy Shanley wrote a short article entitled, "Mobility Management: Innovative Transportation Strategies to Support Youth Transition".  Dr. Shanley is the Assisant Vice-President, Education and Youth Transition at Easter Seals in Chicago, IL.  In addition to our articles, we have information on new transition materials, conference and webinar opportunities, new scholarship opportunities, and websites to add to your favorites!!
